Cvet Préri [svet prer-ee] is a creative practice producing small-batch and made-to-order clothing.

Guided by slow and sustainable practices, the collection focuses on carefully selected high-quality materials — each piece crafted ethically and locally from start to finish.

Informed by historical and contemporary design and rooted in family heritage, the resulting aesthetic blends vintage and modern sensibilities, underpinned by a quietly playful, intimately pared-back perspective.

Cvet Préri was created by Michaela Knittel, a graduate of the Rhode Island School of Design. Translating to prairie flower in Serbian and Hungarian, the name honors the heritage, homelands, and spirit of her grandmother and two great-grandaunts — all professional seamstresses themselves.
